COMRADE: THE MAKING, THE GLORY, AND UNBREAKING OF A DICTATOR

The documentary tells the life story of Nicolae Ceaușescu, a peasant's son who managed to become the most powerful man in Romania. The film reveals the secrets of one of the most controversial dictators, secrets that the communist regime kept hidden for 25 years. The story is told by those who knew him closely: prison mates, his "double", personal assistants, his translator, diplomats, ministers, and family members, but also by those who suffered during his regime. Three American presidents, the former head of the CIA, Prince Filip, and the terrorist Carlos "The Jackal", Ilie Năstase, talk to us about his international policy.
