Director’s Biography: Rafael Kapelinski was the Director of the Festival Office for Camerimage between 1993-1994. He then attended the Andrzej Wajda Post-Graduate Master School of Film Directing (Ekran), and the NFTS in the UK.
His first short ‘Emily Cries’ won over twenty-five festivals including Brest and Austin. Other shorts have been at New Horizons, Oberhausen, and Warsaw. In 2009, he won the Cannes: Cinefondation Residence. Rafael’s debut ‘Butterfly Kisses’ was nominated for Best Debut, and won the Crystal Bear at Berlin in 2017. ‘A Woman At Night’ marks his second feature.
